Last year, Mark & I rode 27 miles and raised $3000 for the Texas Mamma Jamma Ride. We'll be riding the 27 mile route at this year's event and we've raised our fundraising goal to $4000. While we certainly welcome donations of any size, we're promoting our 'In this Two-gether' campaign by asking for $20 donations from 200 individuals. Since we are pretty sure we don't know 200 people, we're asking for your help. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation AND passing the word along to your family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers. We are continually stunned by the number of folks we meet who have had breast cancer or who know someone who has or has had this disease.
Approximately 1 in 8 women will face breast cancer in her lifetime; and a small percentage of men face this disease as well. Once again this year, we'll be carrying the names of individuals who had breast cancer and have died and of those who are surviving the disease. Mark and I--the two of us--take every step of the breast cancer journey together. So we called our team "In this Two-gether!" But we certainly did not do this alone and we thank everyone who supports and loves us through this journey!
